Sorry the index photo is missing. I retried 3 times to load and the meter indicated it loaded 100% then said Processing and then msg indicated Post Failed. If interested, please email me and I'll email the index to you (jhodge@embarqmail.com).

Thanks for the nice comments Gerard. Due to finding your index very laborious in trying to find specific articles, many years ago I compiled an index of WCM articles from 1985 to present on Microsoft Excel. I update it at least annually and send it out to several hundred carvers free as my way of giving back to this great community of carvers. Anyone interested in getting a copy of my index can simply send me an email, jhodge@embarqmail.com, and I will gladly send it to you. My index is already sorted by bird species and article titles but it can be sorted by date, author, patterns, etc. I hope the photo I attached will provide enough info for you to see how easy it is to find all articles.

I agree with others on your index, its not really easy to find something.....John Hodge has done a super job by doing a real index to search, just join our page on Facebook ''Wildlife Wood Carvings'' and you will have access to this wonder

I have been a subscriber since 1985 and I totally agree with the critique of your online "index" submitted by ripigg 1049614. As an index your's is virtually useless. I have a real printed index the magazine sent to subscribers that covers the issues from 1985 to 1998 and another index you sent covering the 1996 to 2000 issues. Both were real indexes not just a table of contents for each issue. When I am carving a bird I want the issue that has information on the bird. A real index will tell me what I want know in a few seconds. On the plus side, I wouldn't have been a subscriber for 35 years if I didn't like your content and commitment to bird carving.

I would like an index that I could search for a specific subject such as a Kestrel. I've indexed your issues myself and can scan for specific subjects, like "habitat, painting, pattern, specific bird, etc. Unless I've missed something, I'm unable to do that kind of search in your index. I would think most carvers would prefer to search for a specific subject instead of an index of magazines by year. That means you have to search through each year's magazine index before finding what your're looking for.
