Judging Wood Ducks at ODCCA Part One
Ohio Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association 40th annual show
By: Tom Huntington
Carvers who have entered a decoy into competition at the Ohio Decoy Collectors and Carvers Association show will wait with bated breath as the judges study the carving in the tanks. They examine not only the quality of the carving, but also how well it floats. Decoys are supposed to fool real birds in the outdoors, after all, and they won’t do that if they are upside down.
